Our high quality butchers blocks are manufactured in Italy & are made from extremely hard wearing interlocked Acacia wood with strong rods across the whole block to prevent expansion & cracking of the block.
The butchers block is dried in a traditional oven to prevent warping & with the strong rods & special glue the butcher block are secured together tightly & efficiently.

Acacia is a sustainable, dense & a durable hardwood that can withstand the elements.

Acacia is harder than Maple and has less porosity (void spaces between) than a lot of other hardwoods.

All our wooden butchers blocks are made with end grain.

The blocks are made 200mm thick, thicker than most other blocks on the market adding extra weight to the block which makes it a truly solid base when being struck with a cleaver.

Available as a block only or with a choice of stainless steel or aluminium stand.
Total height with stand is 890mm (35").

Product Description

Made from extremely hard wearing interlocked Acacia wood with strong rods across the whole block to prevent expansion & cracking of the block.

Painted using 'paint water' which is authorized for food use.

Vaseline oil is used to treat the wood of the butcher block which is also authorized for food use and the wood is glued together using a long lasting Vinilic glue, also authorized for food use on the butcher block.

The butchers block is dried in a traditional oven to prevent warping and with the strong rods & special glue the butcher block are secured together tightly &efficiently.

Turn the block weekly
Reverse it monthly
Do not soak or wash the surface in water
Never leave meat on the surface for prolonged periods as swelling will result
If surface does get wet apply little dry salt overnight
Clean regularly with block scraper or wire brush
occasionally wipe surface with light vegetable oil

If the butcher block develops cracks, then the correct butcher block filler should be used, the butcher block sanded down and then the butcher block should be re-oiled.
