This fibre washer fits most brands of size 12 butchers meat mincer that use a washer on the back of the worm.

Fibre washers are heat conductive to prevent overheating & excessive noise.

If you do not have a washer in place you will experience problems with the knife and plate fitting properly resulting in the plate clogging up & producing a mushy meat texture. 

You need the washer to prevent heat and to keep the knife, plate and ring tight up front.
